Grim Reaper: [rapping] You might be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper.
Grim Reaper: Heh heh! Get down with your bad self!
A sequel that wasn’t as excellent as the first Bill and Ted’s movie, however this one was redeemed by the fact that George Carlin was still alive and they had the Grim Reaper as comic relief.
The sequel is darker in tone, with a villian wanting to change the future, so he has robots kill off Bill and Ted to secure that. They make their journey back essentially from Hell and do an amazing job at the Battle of the Bands!
Here is the basic plot of the film…Amiable slackers Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) are once again roped into a fantastical adventure when De Nomolos (Joss Ackland), a villain from the future, sends evil robot duplicates of the two lads to terminate and replace them. The robot doubles actually succeed in killing Bill and Ted, but the two are determined to escape the afterlife, challenging the Grim Reaper (William Sadler) to a series of games in order to return to the land of the living.
The film was directed by Peter Hewitt and the music was done by various Rock artists of the early 90’s. Not as Iconic as the first film either, but still enjoyable. The score was composed by David Newman.
