” Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Quoted Ferris Bueller.
John Hughes was a fantastic director in the 1980’s and early 90’s who could see the teenager’s side of things. The dull boring classrooms, the boring teachers, the evil high school principal. These things John Hughes got right! Another thing he got right was getting Mathew Broderick to star in this comedy about a kid who takes the day off.
Here is the basic plot…Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) has an uncanny skill at cutting classes and getting away with it. Intending to make one last duck-out before graduation, Ferris calls in sick, “borrows” a Ferrari, and embarkson a one-day journey through the streets of Chicago. On Ferris’ trail is high school principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones), determined to catch him in the act.
It’s full of fun, hijinks, and great music! There are various bands used in the film and it adds charisma to the various scenes in the movie. You even get the famous Star Wars theme added to the score! Its fantastic!
