Today on Soundtrack Alley, I’ll be concluding my episodes on National Science Fiction Day 2024 Part 2. Today I’ll start by discussing Rebel Moon Part 2 with the score by Tom Holkenberg, when you have several films for apes, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes came out with a score by John Paesano, Next I’ll discuss the film Uglies from Netflix with a score by Edward Shearmer, in the long line of the Godzilla franchise, Godzilla x Kong The New Empire came out and the score was composed by Tom Holkenberg, the next film on the list is Godzilla Minus One for its re-release of the 70th Anniversary, onward to the next film which was the sequel to Dune, obviously its Dune Part 2 which had music composed by Hans Zimmer, after that Megalopolis came under the radar with a score by Osvaldo Golijov, Netflix pulled off another great film with Atlas starring Jennifer Lopez with a score by Andrew Lockington, the following film I’ll be discussing is Ghostbusters Frozen Empire with music by Dario Marianelli, another Netflix film that was an amazing fantasy was Damsel with a score by David Fleming, second to the last film is Despicable Me 4 which was a fun animated sequel with an amazing score by Heitor Periera, and finally the last film I discuss is Sonic 3, which has been a highly anticipated film, Tom Holkenberg does it again for this last film I talk about.
