The Princess Bride

One of my favorite movies that still holds true today.

It is the best movie of the 80’s that gives us fantasy, wonder, a British movie that shows us even romance can be fun and even hilarious. It gives us great actors such as Peter Falk, Cary Elwes, Robin Wright Penn, Wallace Shawn, Andre the Giant, and Billy Crystal. The film was directed by Rob Reiner who also directed films like Stand by Me, The American President, When Harry met Sally, The Ghost of Mississippi, and The Bucket List.

For those of you that have never heard of this Amazing movie here is the basic plot…

A fairy tale adventure about a beautiful young woman and her one true love. He must find her after a long separation and save her. They must battle the evils of the mythical kingdom of Florin to be reunited with each other. Based on the William Goldman novel “The Princess Bride” which earned its own loyal audience.

The Princess Bride is a soundtrack album by British singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Knopfler. It truly is a very beautiful score with heart.
