“Just remember, Fievel – one man’s sunset is another man’s dawn. I don’t know what’s out there beyond those hills. But if you ride yonder… head up, eyes steady, heart open… I think one day you’ll find that you’re the hero you’ve been looking for,” Wyle Burp said to Fievel.

This light hearted sequel soared with beautiful melodies by James Horner, continueing the story of the Mousekewitz family who journeyed to America from rough Russia.

Here is the basic plot…Several years after the events of “An American Tail,” the Mousekowitz family still resides in New York, but times are tough, and the promise of “streets paved with cheese” has not come to pass. Papa and Mama’s children have also grown up since the last film, with Fievel idolizing cowboys out west (like famed law-dog Wylie Burp), and Tanya wishing to become a singer.

The film was directed by Phil Nibbelink, Simon Wells and of course the score was composed by James Horner. Truly he made a fantastic score.
