Kirk:
“Damn it, Bones, you’re a doctor. You know that pain and guilt can’t be taken away with a wave of a magic wand. They’re the things we carry with us, the things that make us who we are. If we lose them, we lose ourselves. I don’t want my pain taken away. I need my pain.”
Yes, we’ve come to an end of our Star Trek journey week. It’s appropriate to end this week with Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, it was said once that it would be the last Star Trek film, it was not and the series continued. I’m glad for that. I can’t give away the plot of this film. You probably already know it.
Erik Woods and I really enjoyed recording this episode and we were completely laid back and enjoyed discussing the in depth feelings for the film and its characters as well as a revisit to the music of Jerry Goldsmith. It’s a fantastic visit to other worlds, and you get one of the best lines said twice in the film…
“What does god need with a Starship?”
