Conan the Destroyer

Bring on the Warrior! Bring on Conan! Yes its the second Conan movie where Arnold Schwarzenegger takes up the mantle of Conan. Adventure and excitement in this sword and sorcery tale. Once again Basil Poledouris does the music to this amazing film.

Here is the basic plot of the movie if you were having any doubts…

In his second cinematic adventure, the mighty warrior Conan (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is tricked into working for the scheming Queen Taramis (Sarah Douglas). Along with finding a mystical horn, Conan and his allies, which include the fierce fighter, Zula (Grace Jones), and the wisecracking sorcerer, Akiro (Mako), must protect the beautiful young Princess Jehnna (Olivia d’Abo). With deception and danger at every turn, Conan has to use all of his power to defeat the evil foes that stand in his way.

Basil Poledouris does an amazing job with the score of this film, bringing fantasy to life yet again. He doesn’t have a huge amount of scores, but this is among some of the good ones. I really like the music to this film and find it enjoyable to listen to.
