“When it comes to scorpions, the bigger the better. Small one bites you, don’t keep it to yourself.” Indy smirked.
This was a fun, adventurous movie by Steven Speilberg. Again He gave us an action packed romp with Indiana Jones, this time encountering KGB agents early on in the cold war. John Williams gives us a wonderful score that brings us back to memories of the original films.
Yes, Harrison Ford is older, yes he isn’t as young as he used to be, and yes he can still kick butt! I have found that this movie is your typical Indy Jones flick, it isn’t anything else but fun and exciting. You pretty much have to leave reality at the door. Its sad really because that is why you go to the theater, to escape reality. What do more people want out of their movies? More realistic, “Oh it took me out of the film”, and other such comments can be disheartening when you go to the silver screen to enjoy a good escape.
Enough ranting. Once again I love the score to this film. If you haven’t seen it…LEAVE REALITY AT THE DOOR! Have fun, enjoy the fun of the movie. Oh and also enjoy the soundtrack. It will give you the warm fuzzies of early John Williams work.
I’ll just give you a couple of clips today. I’m not giving away the plot so that way I can go back and revisit this soundtrack with full appreciation.
Here are a couple clips…
