Today, my wife and I went to see Murder on the Orient Express. This was a remake of the original that was filmed back in 1974. The casting was brilliant. The movie was directed by Kenneth Branaugh and Produced by Ridley Scott. The cast included Kenneth Branaugh, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Willam Defoe, Derek Jacobi, Judi Dench, Penelope Cruz, Daisey Ridley, and Olivia Coleman. It was brilliantly done, the locals, the dialogue, the simplicity of the plot, and it captured the essence of the original novel by Agatha Christie. We thoroughly enjoyed the film.  And the music was composed by Kenneth Branaugh’s go-to composer Patrick Doyle. He did an excellent job with the scoring. Even enjoying the last song that was sung by Michelle Pfeiffer. So that is my night at the movies. You can look forward to this Friday when I bring you my interview with Alexander Schiebel. We will talk his composing career, his background, his sampling work and of course my brand new intro for Soundtrack Alley! I hope you all tune in this Friday for that episode of my podcast!

To close out this post I leave you with a piece of music from Murder on the Orient Express. And until Friday, Happy Listening!
