Today also is Part 2 of the Annual Sci Fi Day extravaganza! You hopefully already heard Part 1, if Not I admire your rebellious attitude. Today is more movies of note for me during the annual Sci Fi show for the year 2022.
We start today’s program with the discussing of Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madness. This will kick off some multidimensional storylines that branch to the point of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. This film is very dark, it’s directed by Sam Raimi and the score is composed by Danny Elfman. It’s a brilliant score and there are some very inventive layers to the film. I think you’ll enjoy it.
Next on the program will be another Marvel film which is Thor Love and Thunder. The score is composed by Michael Giacchino and the film is wonderfully shot, it is really funny but also there are some amazing cinematic moments to the film, done with color, light, and shadow. I think you’ll really enjoy the music to it.
Following the two Marvel films is DC League of SuperPets. The score is composed by Steve Jablonsky and he does an amazing job with highlighting the legacy themes of DC and it’s utterly brilliant! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
Next on the program will be Nope, a film by Jordon Peele, this score weaves its way through science fiction/horror/and Western. Michael Abels does the score and it’s really fascinating how the score bends and turns and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Lastly on the program will be Avatar: The Way of Water. This is the second film in the Avatar series and it’s been 13 years since the first film. The score is amazing since it’s the protege of James Horner – Simon Franglen. It’s wonderfully composed and it’s amazing and gorgeous! I think you’ll like the extended suite I put together.
