“Courage of the heart is very rare. The stone has a power when it’s there.” quoted Nicodemus.

This Don Bluth film could give children nighmares. Have you ever thought that those of us who grew up with this movie might be scared for life?  It may have something to do with the darkness of this film, the tones in the scenes, and the actual blood and themes of revenge and conspiracy.  I’m not saying that I don’t like the movie. I do in fact love this movie and it’s one of my favorite Don Bluth films.

I recently revisited the soundtrack and enjoyed listening to the Jerry Goldsmith score. I have found that alot of his original work was some of the best. He was influenced by any other film when doing the score on The Secret of Nimh.

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty of an interview conducted from an article regarding how Jerry Goldsmith scored The Secret of Nimh. If you have time, read the article on this amazing composer.

I’ve only got two themes for you today. You can find my full review of the score back in December. Here is the Link.
