This movie soundtrack really struck a cord with me. I found it hauntingly good, I was really impressed with how James Newton Howard captured the essence of the movie in his simple elegant score, keeping it cool and calm, having its adventurous moments, but generally staying quiet. You cannot listen to the score in a moving vehicle. This is a score that must be enjoyed reading a book or just being calm. You won’t enjoy what it gives you.
When I found out that the Hunger Games was being made into a movie, I was actually kind of surprised, I didn’t know the author and I wasn’t sure how the book could be taken into movies. Well I was surprised, and awed by the adaption to the silver screen.
